Who We Are

The Massachusetts Collective is a donor-driven NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) collective made up of UMass Basketball fans, alumni, local supporters, and businesses committed to creating income opportunities for UMass student-athletes. Established in November 2022, we have generated nearly $1,000,000 in NIL opportunities, with a primary focus on men’s basketball.

Our donor base is diverse and deeply invested, including individuals, local and regional businesses, and passionate alumni. We work closely with the University of Massachusetts and its Athletic Department to ensure all NIL agreements comply with NCAA rules and regulations, safeguarding student-athletes’ eligibility. Every NIL deal is facilitated with full compliance approval.

After the House case settlement on 7/1, we will continue to operate as a third-party entity, maintaining our mission to support both the men's and women's basketball programs and providing impactful NIL opportunities for UMass student-athletes.
