Who We Are

The Massachusetts Collective is a donor-driven NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) organization comprised of UMass supporters, alumni, and businesses dedicated to advancing opportunities for UMass student-athletes.

Since our establishment in November 2022, we have facilitated more than $1.5 million in NIL agreements across UMass Men’s and Women’s Basketball and UMass Football, directly contributing to the growth, retention, and competitive success of UMass Athletics.

As the NIL landscape evolves following the July 1 House Settlement, The Massachusetts Collective remains steadfast in its commitment to excellence, integrity, and impact. Moving forward, our primary mission will be to support the UMass Men’s Basketball program as an independent, third-party NIL collective exclusively focused on the advancement of the program and its student-athletes.

While our focus will be on men’s basketball, we remain open to strategic collaborations with other UMass programs when our involvement can add clear value to both the university and our membership community.



Every agreement we facilitate is executed with full NCAA and state compliance, transparency, and accountability — ensuring that the opportunities we create strengthen not only our athletes but also the broader UMass community we proudly represent.
